Managing Your Listings
Registering a landlord account allows you to take advantage of all of the great features Spotsie has to offer. With a landlord account, you can start listing properties right away and have them instantly available to students searching for a place off-campus.
As a landlord or subletter, all of your property listings will be viewable in this tab. Click the property's name to view its listing page, or any of the icons on the right to hide, mark as vacant, edit, or remove that listing. You can also click any of the category links to sort your properties based on that attribute.
When you hide a property, it will no longer show up in search results and Spotsie will prevent anyone from trying to view its listing page. However, you'll still have full access in viewing it, editing its information, checking its statistics, un-hiding it, and removing it completely. The main purpose here is to still maintain a property on Spotsie, but prevent anyone else from accessing it.
To edit any of your property listings, simply click the little Edit icon (the pencil) next to your listing in the "My Listings" page. From there, you'll be able to edit everything just like when you added the property. You still have a maximum of four photos, and you cannot edit the zip code of the property (if you made a mistake when adding it, please email us).
To remove one of your property's from Spotsie, simply click the Remove icon (the "X") next to the appropriate listing. Watch out though — this will completely remove it from the site, meaning no one will ever be able to see it or its comments again, and you will no longer be able to view it or edit its details.
When you remove one of your listings from Spotsie, it will no longer be available to view or search for on the site. Also, you won't see it anywhere in your Property Manager as it and it's information will be completely inaccesible. If you've removed a property by accident, please contact us immediately and we'll work with you immediately to get it back up.
If you accidentally remove one of your listings, and didn't click the "Undo" link afterwards, all is not lost! Please
contact us immediately and we can restore it for you. Please make sure you really want to delete one of your listings before you remove it. If you'd like to prevent users from viewing it, you can always hide it instead (which will still keep it in the system).
For each of your listings, you can mark it as currently occupied, or available for immediate occupancy (meaning no one is living in it, and you'd like to rent it out now). This is to help students who are looking for something currently available. You can also set your listings to be available or unavailable for specific school years, which can also help students looking to rent for a particular academic year, summer, or semester.
